HISTORY: My name is Brett Causey. I'm just another guy that loves bikes, riding, camping and the brotherhood of the biker community. My nickname is Norton, because that's what I ride. I own an original Norton Commando and recently completed a custom Norton chopper/bobber.
After hurricaine Katrina hit New Orleeans, all of the rallies in Louisiana and Southeast Texas were cancelled.
So, after a night out on the bikes, my friend Dan and I passed my rural property and stopped to take a break. Dan looked over the property and said, you know, you ought to have a rally out here. A few phone calls, lots of work, and 7 weeks later, we held our first bike rally on Veteran's Weekend 2005. The turnout was great for a first time event. After the rally, I received a lot of calls and e mails, asking me to put on another rally.
We tried one in Spring of 2006, but 4 inches of rain over Friday and Saturday kind of screwed that one up. Ended up a nice "VENDOR" party, with lots of extra food and beer.
The next rally was Summerfest 2006, which went very well. Great bands, vendors, and food. A brief strorm rolled through and with the exception of the lightning bolt that hit a tree and shook up the people camping under it, all went great.
We plan to expand facilities with better showers and more restrooms.  More isolated tent camping areas. A new stage with a permanent pavillion for shade and rain protection is also a high priority. We recently purchased the materials for more electrical connections for our vendors and R.V.'s.
Hog Haven will be donating a portion of it's product sales profits to various motorcycle clubs and/or charities. The remainder of profits will be used for property improvements, advertising, etc, to promote bigger and better events while  improving our facilities to make your stay more comfortable.
We welcome any and all comments and suggestions. Drop us a line, we would love to hear from you.
Thanks,
Brett Causey
